He oversaw the accounting and information technology departments as well as being the company’s human resources director. Douglas wright hklaw was an active part of the Tampa Bay community, serving on the boards of the United Cerebral Palsy and the Salvation Army. He also placed a high emphasis on helping those in need, contributing his time, and giving of his time and energy.
After graduating from the University of Florida’s Levin College of Law in 1987, Wright joined Holland & Knight as an associate. He joined the firm’s Tampa office in 1992 and has been a partner in the firm’s private wealth management department since 2002. In December 2003, Wright was reprimanded for inappropriate behaviour toward a female employee. Holland & Knight retaliated by placing him on indefinite suspension. Wright resigned in addition to being suspended.
In addition to his role as a partner, Wright hklaw worked at Holland & Knight as a senior manager in a range of departments. He was in control of everything, from accounting and human resources to marketing and information technology. Wright was a well-liked coworker who was admired by a large number of people. Douglas Wright Holland & Knight was the father of three children and a member of the Bob Graham Center for Public Service. He was also a proud father and grandfather, as well as an active member of the community.

As a result of sexual harassment charges, Doug Wright, one of Holland & Knight’s senior lawyers, has resigned. Sexual harassment allegations came after a press disclosure of private internal investigation documents. Holland & Knight replied by releasing a press release about the leak. Wright is alleged to have returned to his prior work as a result. Wright was accused of sexual harassment by nine female attorneys at Holland & Knight’s Tampa office following the disclosure.
According to an investigation by the firm’s sexual harassment committee, Wright’s actions were improper, and they were exacerbated by his position in the company and his close relationship with the partners. The firm’s managing partner, Howell Melton Jr., dismissed Wright’s charges and was subsequently promoted to third-in-command. Despite the fact that his punishment has been made public, Wright remains a partner at the firm.
After receiving documentation from the state of Florida, Holland sought the assistance of a bruise specialist. Holland asked for the case to be dropped. Holland argued that the lateness with which the samples were received and the inconsistent results affected him. He did confess, though, that he did not believe Turner had acted inappropriately. Holland’s motion was denied by the judge shortly after it was submitted.
